A little bit of designing on the fly. This hickory log replaced the main support post in the living room.
Geothermal
Our clients in Haw Creek decided to go geothermal! Here we figured out that by placing the sewer, geothermal, and water lines in the same trench we could save a ton of money. The Geothermal lines went 6 feet down first, and the water and sewer went a few feet above. With a 65% tax credit, geothermal is easy to justify!
Sealed crawlspace
We have just finished a beautiful sealed crawlspace for our project in Kennilworth. We all find beauty in different things!
2011 Green Building Directory
Jade Mountain Builders is featured in the 2011 WNC Green Building Directory, an annual resource published by the Mountain Express. Billed as “the primary tool for education, outreach and expanding the green building industry in this region for the past ten years,” we are excited to be part of such a wonderful green building resource to support our region and our environment.
